“It’s not wrong, It’s just different…”

This is a often heard phrase from missionaries living aboard and in most cases I agree with it. Even in this case (I think). I was reading the Prague Monitor the other day and I found this picture very entertaining. It was in reference to somewhat of a “baby boom” that is taking place in Czech right now. I’ll be honest, I don’t have a clue about potty training, but this is different than what I thought potty training looked like. Not wrong, just different. I wonder if these children just want some privacy. Those parents out there that read my blog, what do you think? You game for a mass potty training session at day care?

See, those two in the middle do have privacy from each other.

when i first saw owen’s school with co-ed bathrooms and no dividers or stalls, i started to panic. then i thought, maybe this is good – no mystery about the human body – maybe we americans are too uptight. so far, it is totally fine. i hope they have separate bathrooms for the teenagers though 😉

Good to hear you have adjusted to this Laura. I’ll be honest, it’s still a bit hard for me to think of, but it’s all good. I’m glad to hear you are feeling better! Get well!

I’d love to see one of them with a newspaper; bringing his own privacy and some reading material all at once!

Whatever they do – the Czech kids are potty trained usually by 18 months. Kasey and I marveled at that…then we watched a little girl pull her pants down and pee on a bush right in the center of Nymburk and felt…well, our way is OK too.
