Planting the Gospel in Post-Christian Europe With Your Help, For His Glory

Join us as we build up a network of small, vibrant church expressions where individuals and communities are introduced to Jesus and served by the believers around them.

Let’s Reach the Czech Republic & Beyond with the Good News of Jesus

Greetings from the Harrodovi! We are a Czech-American couple who are committed to making Jesus known in Post-Christian Europe – an area that has a deep spiritual heritage but is now in dire need of spiritual revival.

The seeds of the Reformation run deep in this area of the world that we have chosen to reach and to call home. Sadly, Europe in general and the Czech Republic specifically have cast off the truths of the gospel that once made her flourish.

It is our prayer that God would reach the heart of Europe, Prague and the Czech Republic, and that Jesus would be made much of on this continent once again.

We invite you to join us as we pursue God’s mission in the Czech Republic and beyond in Europe. Read on to discover how we do it, and how you can invest in and partner with us in the Lord’s work.

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”

– Jeremiah 29:4-7

Meet Harrodovi

We’re Zachary and Michaela Harrod, a family living in Prague with a heart for people, storytelling, fostering community, and most of all, our Lord Jesus Christ.

We’ve witnessed transformative changes in lives and remain eager to see God continue His work amidst the challenges of this post-Christian landscape.

Today, we’re channeling our energy into initiatives like Kolem Stolu (Around the Table), fostering authentic spiritual connections, and Stōri Kolektif, a creative community that celebrates storytelling and artistry.

It is our prayer that God would reach the heart of Europe, Prague and the Czech Republic with the gospel. We invite you to learn more about how God is enabling us to participate in his mission, then decide on how you may want to join us!

Our Core Strategy to Plant Microchurches and Make Jesus Known

Here’s how we cultivate apprentices of Jesus who actively apprentice others, by creating movement of small, local communities centered on Jesus.

1. Build

Our aim is to cultivate apprentices of Christ who actively disciple others, and build churches that actively plant other churches.

Serving others and building trust are essential in a post-Christian society. It is for this reason that we place such a high value on investing in relationships while fully immersing ourselves in Czech culture, [and teaching others to do the same]. When we integrate into Czech culture, we are blessed and become a blessing to others.

Once trust is formed and relationships are built, we aim to create a network of missional communities and microchurches that are centered on The Word, community, and service. Building micro-churches requires investing in real relationships that in turn foster accountability and spiritual growth.

2. Multiply

Another step along the way is to build up new leaders within the local church in Prague and beyond. This occurs as we work to establish a network of “tables” around the city.

Tables are simply gatherings where we share meals, enjoy fellowship, and study the Word. Our desire is to see a table in every neighborhood in Prague where Jesus is the host. Leaders are built up as they invest deeper into our table ministry and then the cycle of disciple-making continues throughout the Czech Republic. This can only be accomplished through prayer and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

3. Seek

One way we see lives transformed by Jesus is through meeting the immediate needs of those around us.

We find practical ways to serve several people-groups throughout Prague, including: homeless, mothers, families, creatives, and other vulnerable populations we encounter. We recognize that our own welfare is intertwined with the well-being of the community we serve.
