We often say that we treat our website like a guest table—a place where anyone can come, listen in, and interact with what God is doing here in Prague.

But for those who want to pull up a chair at the family table—to partner with us in prayer and financially—we send two emails each month.

One is a prayer update, called Letters from Exile.
The other is something we call Field Notes.

Field Notes is simple. It’s not just about what’s happening here. It’s about helping people practice what we’re practicing—right where they are. We see it as one small way to serve the wider Church. Because the goal isn’t just tables being set in Prague.

It’s tables being set everywhere.

Recently, a longtime supporter reached out and said, “This is really encouraging—I’m going to try this. Pray for me.”

So we did.

And after our most recent Field Notes, she sent us an email. We wanted to share a glimpse of it with you.

A glimpse of what’s multiplying beyond Prague

She started a simple Discovery Bible Study in her neighborhood.

At first, no one came.
Just two young moms showed up.

But instead of quitting, she stayed with it.

“Since then we have become close and involved in each other’s lives and families.”

She shared that what we’ve been writing about—keeping things simple, meeting people where they are, and looking for where God is already at work—gave her the courage to begin.

“I didn’t want it to be some preachy thing… you guys gave me the idea to go simple.”

Now they’re not only continuing, but learning together how to share the gospel in everyday life.

“We are currently working on how to effectively share the gospel in any and all settings God opens up to us.”

And this line stopped us:

“Knowing that we are already joining God at work is far less daunting than thinking we have to convince someone…”

Before we move on, would you pray with us?

Pray for this friend—our partner in ministry and someone who has been at our family table for a long time. Pray for the women gathering with her, and that in their neighborhood many would come to know Jesus around the table.
